III. Liner Systems - c.2.2. Eagle Dual Cone Hanger with ECS Liner Packer – Hydraulic
Most liners run today require the reliable insurance provided by an ECS liner packer in providing an annular seal following a cement job. Allamon Tool Company has combined the industry’s most technologically advanced liner top packer with conventional liner hanger technology in order to provide best-in-class equipment at the right price. Combining the ECS Liner Packer and the Eagle Dual Cone Hanger provides cost benefits by elimination of a mandrel and multiple casing threads. Elimination of multiple casing threads reduces leak paths for a more robust design. It is set via pressure internal to the workstring. There is no required manipulation of the workstring other than simply slacking off onto the slips once the setting pressure is reached. When run in combination with Allamon Tool Company’s plug systems, the setting ball is caught in the plug running tool which means that there is greatly reduced risk in damaging the formation after setting the hanger and releasing the setting ball. This hanger/packer is robustly designed for installation in highly deviated wellbores up to and beyond 90 degrees of deviation and because of the single cone arrangement is rated for use with medium to heavy liner loads.
Features/Benefits
  • Semi-slip feature provides better initial ‘bite’ and better load disbursement
  • Provides excellent circulating by-pass area
  • Return piston provides collapse rating equal to that of the liner
  • Setting ball shears out in running tools for lower formation surge
  • Bi-directionally boosting packer seal
  • Uni-mandrel design
