IV. Surge Reduction System - g. Down-hole Test Tool with Down-jet
While the original DTT was initially designed for use on small and short liners where pressure drops through the liner during circulation were not adequate for determining Diverter integrity. The DTT with Down-jet was designed specifically for inner string applications for larger sub-sea casing strings. This tool can be run in conjunction with the Diverter Sub in order to provide the service technician and operator with a positive integrity test of the Diverter Sub once it is closed. The tool is available with a soft nose for protecting internal parts or profiles within the casing string during stabbing. Additionally, this tool incorporates Down-jets that assist in pushing the cement in the proper direction during displacement.
