The Allamon Tool Company Swab Cup Packoff Assembly is a versatile tool that
can be utilized in many applications. The cups are manufactured and pressure
tested in-house to stringent criteria to ensure reliability on the job. Allamon Tool
Company utilizes the Swab Cup Packoff Assembly as a cementing packoff on
very small and cost effective liner systems. Additionally, and more commonly,
the Swab Cup Packoff Assembly is utilized as a lower packoff on liner jobs utilizing
hydraulically set hangers. The Swab Cap Packoff Assembly when run in concert
with a hanger setting ball seat allows for a hanger to be set without increasing
risk of damage to the formation which occurs when pressuring the entire
liner for setting the hanger and expending the setting ball. The ball seat in the
running tool string in concert with the Swab Cup Packoff Assembly allows for
pressure to be maintained only in the workstring, therefore decreasing surge on
the formation when the setting ball is expended.
