Allamon Tool Company’s Tieback Mill assembly incorporates two mills for
preparing an existing liner top to accept a tieback seal stem. The lower mill is
made of bronze and is used to polish the ID of the tieback while not damaging
the seal bore surface. The top mill is used to mill away undesirable cement at
the liner top and to shape the tieback sleeve for seal stem stabbing. The mill
assembly incorporates a drill pipe connection on bottom so that a clean out
work string and bit can be run inside the liner top during tieback cleanout run.
